This summer I raced in the 2026 Junior Sabot National Championship at Mission Bay Yacht Club, and I’m proud to say I finished fourth overall in a fleet of 128 sailors. Racing ran July 27–30 on Mission Bay.

The first goal was getting through qualifying, which cut the fleet down to the top 29 sailors racing in the Gold Fleet. Making that cut gave me a lot of confidence going into the championship round.

My best race was a first-place finish, and winning a race against that group is something I’ll remember for a long time. I also had two second-place finishes, which kept me in the mix for the podium all the way to the last day.

I ended up in 4th place (tying for 3rd but lost the tie breaker)

I want to sincerely thank the Newport Harbor Sailing Foundation for its support. Their generosity made it possible for me to train and compete at this level, and I’m grateful for their belief in me. I’m looking forward to building on this result next season.
